What Can the GSBC Research Team Do?
The GSBC Research Team can search for copies of articles or obituaries published in local newspapers, some dating back to as early as 1911, photograph a headstone in a Broward County cemetery where a headstone exists, and perform basic searches of publicly available local resources such as City Directories. Depending on their policies, we may be able to search archives in local historical societies if they do not already provide online services to the general public.
Please note: GSBC cannot research, answers questions, or supply information about living people, or the living descendants, relatives, or friends of the deceased.

On the Research Request form, please provide as much information as possible about your request, and indicate where you have already searched for information.
After completing the Research Request form, please email the form to research@gsbcfl.org or mail it to the GSBC Research Team at P.O. Box 290661, Davie, FL 33329-0661. Email is preferred.
What Else Should I Know?
The GSBC Research Team gives every Research Request the same attention. Volunteers search pertinent resources available to us. We cannot guarantee that we will have positive results, but we will notify you as soon as possible to let you know where we searched, and what we were able to find, supplying you with the source citations or website links so you can evaluate the relevance to your request. If we are unable to help with your request, we may be able to provide you with ideas to further your research.
Do You Accept Donations?
While GSBC does not charge a fee for Research Services, donations in any amount are gratefully accepted. Donations help support the educational mission of the Society in the form of speakers at our meetings and the purchase of books or periodicals that benefit genealogy researchers.
